North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-Un has set out his nuclear weapons ambitions for 2017 and made a chilling warning to the West – and in particular US president-elect Donald Trump.
The dictator reportedly wants to take advantage of the change in administration in the US and South Korea, a high-ranking defector said Tuesday
North Korea’s former deputy ambassador to Britain Thae Yong-Ho – who defected earlier this year – said Kim issued a directive in May to “complete” nuclear development by the end of next year, the Daily Star reports.
“With South Korea holding presidential elections and the US undergoing an administration transition, the North sees 2017 as the prime time for nuclear development,” Thae told local reporters.
“That’s based on a calculation that the US and South Korea will not be able to take physical, military measures because they are tied up with domestic politics,” he added.
It comes after a former military advisor to Kim told how the crazed despot threatened to personally kill traitors with “a bullet through the head”
Kwak Seong – not his real name – served for 40 years in the State Security Department trying to stop citizens fleeing the country – and tracking down the ones who managed to escape.
