The restoration of peace and stability in South Balochistan has only been possible through the unmatched sacrifices of FC Balochistan (South). To eliminate the scourge of terrorism, the brave personnel of FC (South) carried out numerous operations across the province, neutralizing countless terrorists. Today, across Balochistan and the rest of the country, graves of these martyrs—our valiant sons—stand as solemn reminders of those who gave their today for our tomorrow. Without this strong shield against terrorists, saboteurs, and insurgents, the very map of our nation would be unimaginable.
In recent months, terrorists have unleashed a wave of violence in different parts of Balochistan, blocking roads and slaughtering dozens of innocent people in the name of ethnicity and nationalism. These heinous acts have claimed the lives of FC (South) personnel as well as other security forces. In retaliatory operations, many terrorists have also been eliminated. From combating terrorism to serving the people, FC Balochistan (South) has played a remarkable and multifaceted role that needs no introduction.
Besides its core security duties, FC (South) has also contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the region. Established in 2017, FC Balochistan (South) was tasked with monitoring the borders adjoining Afghanistan and Iran, maintaining internal and external security in southwestern Balochistan, and protecting strategically important national and military projects. Within just eight years, this newly formed force has not only structured itself but also trained its personnel professionally, fulfilling its responsibilities from border security to community service in an effective and efficient manner.
A deeper look into Balochistan reveals that despite challenges, the province is steadily progressing toward peace and development. Numerous projects have been completed, while others are nearing completion. While the State of Pakistan and the Government of Balochistan are working for the province’s prosperity, the role of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and FC Balochistan remains commendable.
Education:
No society can progress without education, as an educated population forms a healthy and aware community. FC Balochistan (South) has paid special attention to the sectors of education and health. Today, many youth in the region have replaced guns with pens. Currently, FC (South) runs 10 schools in Balochistan, offering free education to hundreds of students. These schools not only provide quality education but also focus on character building. In Kharaan, a unique school for differently-abled children has been established, catering to children with visual, hearing, mental, and social impairments. These children are educated under the supervision of trained and dedicated teachers in a conducive environment. All educational expenses—including uniforms, stationery, and staff salaries—are borne by FC Balochistan (South).
Health:
To ensure public health in far-flung areas, FC (South) regularly holds free medical camps in southern Balochistan. These camps serve hundreds of patients with free medical checkups, lab tests, and medicines. Specialized services, including gynecology, are also offered for women.
Social Services:
FC (South) has installed solar-powered water filtration plants in various areas to provide clean drinking water. It has also constructed houses for widows as part of its humanitarian efforts. Additionally, FC (South) facilitated a safe environment for the development of border markets in Radeek (Kech District) and Panjgur District along the Pakistan-Iran border. These markets have positively impacted the social and economic conditions of local communities by creating new business opportunities.
FC Balochistan (South) also provides security to several national projects including CPEC, Saindak, Reko Diq, Sahedal, and Dudder copper and gold mines. In addition, security is also provided for key water infrastructure projects like Mirani Dam, Tapuk Dam, Gishkoorach Dam, Gurg Dam, Shadi Kaur Dam, and Shapok Dam.
In times of natural disasters, FC (South) has led relief and rescue operations with dedication and speed, becoming a symbol of support in adversity. During the devastating floods and torrential rains of recent years, massive destruction occurred across Balochistan—particularly to the date crop in southern Balochistan—and transportation routes were severely disrupted. Even in such challenging circumstances, FC (South) remained active and responsive, delivering timely aid to affected people.
The force also provided a secure environment for polio campaigns and national census operations, ensuring smooth execution of these important national duties. Be it national security, terrorism threats, or natural disasters, the personnel of FC Balochistan (South) have always stepped forward without hesitation to support their Baloch brethren.
Today, a handful of anti-state elements are once again trying to destabilize South Balochistan, but they fail to realize that as long as FC (South) stands strong, their nefarious plans will never succeed.
